Running, my passion

Running is defined as the fastest means for an animal to move on foot. It is also defined as a gait in which at some point all feet are off the ground at the same time. In order to run fast, the running posture and stride lengths are important. An ideal running posture is running upright with a slight forward lean. A good running posture is extremely important. Bad running posture may result in injuries, often long term. As for stride length, exercise physiologists have found that the stride rates are extremely consistent across professional runners, between 185-200 steps per minute. The main difference between a sprinter and a long distance runner is the stride length, rather than the cadence. As for equipments, you only need one, your running shoes. For professional runners, spikes shoes are needed, special shoes with nails that are used when running on track. Running could be done almost anywhere. Stretching is a must before you start running; as it is a good way to prevent injuries. A cool down run is also needed. Topping up the body fluid is also important after your run, as it would help your recovery.

There are a lot of reasons to keep running, but it always comes back to where it started, self-satisfaction and a sense of achievement. You could go in any direction, fast or slow, fighting the wind if you felt like it, seeking out new sights just on the strength of your feet and the courage of your lungs! Running also teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. If you take on running, it helps you to find out what you are made of. Running is a big question mark that is there each and every day. It asks you, 'Are you going to be a loser or are you going to be hero today? The most important thing in running is not coming in first, it is completing the run. You need to have guts to run. Moreover, taking up running can also keep you healthy and fit.

Many people asked me, why run? It is because I wanted to create something beautiful. I wanted people to say “I’ve never seen any guy run this fast!” Running is more than a simple sport; it is your personal style. I failed many times, but I believe I will not be a true failure until I give up my target. Someone said this, “Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up”

So, are you courageous enough to take up running?

PS: Im so gonna flop the passion pamphlet -.-
